Digital Camera Classes at Basehor Community Library: Instructor - Wayne Rhodus

Are you ready to begin a journey to become the best photographer you can be? The Basehor Community Library is partnering with Basehor area nature and publication photographer Wayne Rhodus to present a series of 1 hour digital camera photography classes this winter. The classes have a maximum attendance set to insure everyone gets the assistance they need to learn about their camera and its functions. All class fees go to benefit the library.

February 7, 2012: 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.  "Getting to Know Your Digital Camera"     Did you get a new camera recently? Never quite mastered your old camera? Wayne will step you through the basic camera controls and features. Get off auto and discover what you and your camera can do!
   
February 21, 2012: 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.  "Steady as She Goes"     Learn basic hand holding tips and techniques to help get sharp, in focus pictures with point and shoot camera.

March 6, 2012: 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.  "Sharp Dressed Image"     Making sharp (in focus) images. Wayne will cover setting the shutter speed and aperture on your camera to get sharp, in focus images.

March 20, 2012: 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.  "I'm ready for my closeup, Mr. DeMille"     Select the correct camera mode for making portraits of family and friends. Learn the basic settings and tips for making closeup images.

April 3, 2012: 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.  "Arranging the Pieces"    Learn how to arrange the subjects in your images. Wayne will cover basic compositional considerations including the Rule of Thirds and selecting a good background.

April 17, 2012: 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.  "The Glorious Landscape"     Learn how to capture that beautiful nature scene in front of you. Wayne will cover "seeing the light" (light quality, light direction, light intensity) and cover basic metering techniques.
